Any of the Triumph tunes for TORs or aftermarket pipes close the secondaries more in 4th and 5th gears than the standard tune, so you will be losing power in those gears by loading another tune from Triumph other than the bone stock tune. All the reason to remove the secondaries.

The GIPro was the most bang for the buck IMO.
I get a little smile on my face every time one of you guys who has tried it says something like that. I've kinda felt like I have been defending my comments about it ever since I installed one and posted the same reaction. I was so excited about how it performed for me back then, I wrote about it so others could have the same fun. It seemed the perfect solution for those of us who wanted "bolt-on" performance. Some were not active on this site at that time so you may not have read the replies. Many were not kind. It was suprising how some went on the attack calling it "snake oil" and how I must be mistaken about the results.
Phil did a great job of getting a good price for everyone who participated in the group buy, though he could be the last one to actually get to play with it :p.
I'm very glad it worked so well for you, I feel better now. (no, I don't own stock in it :rolleyes:)

Yep, even if it didn't have the nifty gear indicator it'd be worth the money.
With the gear indicator, it was really a good thing.
Second only to the Stebil horn in my list of favorite mods.

My apologies Pig, I've never seen those numbers on a Triumph Tune :eek:

Good job I've got Tuneboy, and no secondaries.

i'm not sure any improvement in performance would be big enough to make much difference. It will feel faster, coz it sounds better. :) anything that lets it breath easier can only be good though.

I can sympathise on the spanner front, i'm hopeless. I discovered many years ago that every time i open a toolbox i cost myself more money than i'm trying to save. Each to his own for me. I'll be good at what i do, and someone who's good at their job can work on my bike.

Some people seem to think you're not a real biker unless you can fix em. They can say it to my face, if they can catch me, but i doubt it. :d





this is what it looked like before it ate it's own gearbox. While it was off the road for the rebuild i accumulated a few bits and ideas for it.

It'll be different again when it comes back out.
