I know I have seen this on here already, but try as I might with the search engine, I can't find it again.

So.... Can anyone tell me the chassis/VIN number that marks the change from bikes restricted in the first three gears to the unrestricted ones?

Thanks!

I thought the restriction was removed in all models with the red or white stripes.
You will have noticed I have the white stripe version. I hadn't heard that, only either 'from 2104' or from a specific chassis no. I know that manufacturers call their bikes a 2014 model, even when released in 2013, hence the confusion. Mine seems to lie on the boundary and I thought the VIN might be the most definitive answer. I know I saw it on here somewhere...
I last had a Rocket in 2007 and have been through a few bikes since then so can't trust my own recollection for comparison....

I believe the change was made in '08

According to the TuneECU site, the change was made after vin ending in 574812. I think this was 2012. The only difference before and after is that the secondaries were closed before. You can open them in TuneECU.

Not correct. The timing was retarded as well. Opening (or removing) secondaries only partially rectifies it. In fact, if that's all you do it's unlikely you'll notice much difference other than in throttle responsiveness.

I just looked at them again and all the fuel and ignition tables are the same between old and new.

For the stock mufflers, the old and new tunes are 20352 and 20773.

For the TOR mufflers, the old and new tunes are 20355 and 20776.

It is true that the ignition and fuel are different between the stock and TOR mufflers.
