Vacuum hose routing

well i just love your threads (almost comical sorry)
jmo i would think that if the map sensor is reading one cyl diff then it must be reading the cyls when cranking. there fore either one has a vacuum leak or one of the throttle plates is sticking or set wrong. this may or may not be your problem.
u question what i told u about the starting fluid. i would give it a two second spray to the air filter then crank it over. never spray while cranking the logic behind this is to see if your problem is FUEL OR SPARK PLUGS FIRING. if it trys to start u have just cut the problem in half and we then know more what to tell u .:)
i would spray all the return springs on the throttles with wd 40 and also work the throttles and let them pop back then try your map settings to see if they changed.
also when u first turn on ign the stepper motor will extend then settle back to the .72 tps volts. u might check this.
a little spray could eliminate a lot of guessing. good luck
Well, I am glad that someone can get a chuckle from my problems, Turbo200R4. (Not sarcasm). I have not been laughing until today--- when I took your advice and sprayed starter fluid into the air filter and it started right up!!! It ran until fluid was gone, then stalled. So.... what's your new prognosis??

That means it's not getting fuel - is the filter clogged, or fuel pump not working? You gotta figure out now why you're not getting fuel - I bet since it was running before, but running poorly, it's the fuel filter clogged :(

congradulations.
what eastex said also if the fuel is old it will not fire correct. whats it smell like.
dump old fuel change fuel filter. if there has been old fuel ran thru u might have plugged injectors also.
u r on your way:)

Well....****..... that would make me the happiest Rocket-man around! I'm going to go buy a new fuel filter right now. (It's due for one anyway.) Where is the **** thing on the bike?

That's the bad news...... It's in the tank :banghead:

I read all 4 pages and no happy ending???!!! Get on it Vocaldog!
In all seriousness I hope the fuel filter fixes the problem. At how many miles are we supposed to change it?

just an off the wall thought some alarms have gone bad and caused probs if u have alarm u might want to install the by pass plug.
like said fuel pump filter is in tank. be very careful or u will bend the fuel sensor float asy or u will have another prob.
