V-Max Let's get it on

I haven't seen anything that a rocket cant out launch. That giant blob of alum. helps keep the front down. The ****** rocket motors weigh half as much and tend to wheely to easily..After 60 mph its over though.

I had an 89 Vmax. Stage 1, full holeshot, and some much needed suspension changes. I think the rocket is quicker and faster to be honest. It's easier to launch for sure. My Vmax wheelied really badly from about 5000rpms up. Nothing like lofting the front wheel and then having Vboost kick in. That will tighten your sphinctor.

The old Vmax is 630 or so lbs and stock they dyno about 111-113hp. Mine was right at 112hp and pulled 128 with the work. My fastest 1/8th mile was 6.71 @ 106mph. Never ran quarter.

I miss that bike.

I was reading about the new one today. It is limited to 137mph. That might cut into its 1/4 mile time somewhat. So if racing one, make sure your speed limiter is higher and there is a lot of road to catch up with it.:D

Why did the R3 guy keep his right foot down?

Oh, and that looked like a crappy launch from the R3 as well, I don't know about the rest of you but it's not that hard for me to get the front end off the ground from a launch.

I'm not saying the R3 could win but that's the problem with YouTube racing, there's so many variables that factor in, the big one being rider technique and ability.

from a launch, a rolling start in 1st at any of the lower half of the rpm mine will stand as high as i let it. without clutching it. its fun when you are next to a sport bike at a traffic light and take off easy and half way through the intersection pin it and leave him behind with the front tire a flyin. buddy of mine did that to an R6 with a passenger, and she wasn't an little girl.

Believe it or not, the ECU is suppose to know when your running the quarter and lets it go to about 147 Mph. Busa and 14 MPHs. The dam things to heavy and to expensive.

We are what we are, if a V shows up , then he better be on his game cuz Damaged is not going to cut him any slack....If he can ride then he will beat me....If that happens then maybe I need to go for the cams.

what its about for me

i wanted to chime in, I have ran several sport bikes up and down the streets here in Houston...light to light we can run with pretty much anything. I know its not a sportbike, so I dont bother in the twisties or the big end, but man light to light she is sooo sweet. In a few weeks I will have my turbo, and I will hunt some sport bikes just for fun, even if its just "close" it'll be worth it for me!
