I bought my 06 with 11425 miles on and my trade was an 11 storm with 14k+ miles that I put on in a year. So my logic was if i'm putting 11425 in 9mos than "to me" the rocket is ( mos old regardless of what year it was made. and mine did jump out of 1st gear until I posted my ptoblem on this site and was taught to engage with a solid chunk and voila no more jumping out of gear(some days my big toe starts to hurt from too much stop and go shifting)So consider how many miles you ride annualy and that should put you at ease since 20k is less than 4k a year. more important is what the previous poster said get the maintainence schedule mine was under the seat. btw Triumph changed the "major service" the one when they measure valve clearance to 20000 miles so I would make sure it's been done if not at 10k then before you buy. Good luck steve
Thanks for the replies. After speaking with the owner I passed on it - too many things I didn't like.. I'll leave it at that. Went for the one w/ 12k miles, it's flawless and comes with brand new tires and a short warranty.
