A local dealer has a 2006 RIII that looks pretty clean, but has 20k miles. It has some extras, windshield, crash bars, passenger footboards. KBB shows $7900, they're asking $6900. I'd prefer lower miles, those of you with a lot of experience with this bike, would that many miles put you off?
National Powersports has an '07 with 8k that looks showroom perfect, but they want $9500, which I thing is too much, even as squeaky clean as it is...
I believe either one would do just fine it is just a matter of your dineros.
mine a 2006 has 30 000 miles and never missed a beat and quite a few otherriders have high mileage R3 I think the engine is bullet proof if treated correctly
20K miles is not many if the bike has been maintained. Service interval is 10K. Ask the dealer if the 10K and 20K maintenance was done and if so, we think your risks are low on the '06.
