Use Brake a way throttle control?

has anybody had experience with the brake a way throttle lock. They tell me it will fit but I must cut flange down on grip. Do't reall want to do that. Also uses about 3/4 of inch. However, the video of the product seems pretty good, despite price.

I got the Break-A-Way throttle lock for my Yamaha V-star 1100. Before I sold it (after getting my Rocket), I removed the throttle lock. It fit and works perfectly on the Rocket! No modifications necessary to the lock or bike!
