Association. Both are motorcycles. You're looking at a motorcycle oriented web site so you must be interested in motorcycles so the ad rotator throws you a motorcycle ad.

Some of the ads on this site represent a direct relationship, others are provided through an agent that displays ads based on content. Either way, I do my best to make the content accessible.

There are times that some of the agent-based advertisers will increase their exposure on a respective website, based on whatever criteria they feel is appropriate. Today it appears to be Harley-Davidson, but tomorrow it could be something else. Regardless, it helps pay the bills to support this site.

The theory behind the influx of H-D activity is the recent announcement of their 4th Qtr Results:

It's pretty cool how the ad typically changes to something related to the thread topic. Like when the topic is filters, a K&N ad shows up. Funny when it's something like a gas tank, and the ad is for construction site water bladders.
I expect when the topic is exhaust cats, an ad for kitty litter or cat chow will appear.

When the pro football player died after being thrown from the back of a truck, SI.com was posting the news. I went to their home page and there was a picture of the dude front and center. Bad thing was that the ad rotator detected auto accidents and displayed Liberty Mutual Auto Insurance ads top, right and bottom of the page. To make matters worse, an overlay ad appeared right over the player's picture. The ad was translucent to give you the impression that it was auto glass. Then it shattered.

Really poor timing of an ad. I wrote the webmaster a note and the ad was pulled right away. I even got a response back thanking me for bringing it to their attention.
