I am not joe computer and I had the same read out the first time . what I did was to move the key icon from my desktop to the tuneecu icon and presto by clicking on tuneecu after a minute I was reading the ecu try it maybe it will work for you as well. but as I said I am not joe computer PIGR9 is the man to speak to if you need real expertise.

Hi John,

System requirements:

  • Computer: PC or Netbook , running Windows (XP, Vista, Windows 7) 1024x600 display and NET Framework 2.0 or higher.
  • Cable for connecting to the dedicated 16-pin diagnostic plug of the Engine Control Module (ECM): USB/OBDII cable with FTDI chip set and associated CDM ver. 2.06.00 drivers.

Software Installation
Installation of FrameWork 2.0 (XP only)
Run dotnetfx.exe and follow the instructions.

Copy the TuneECU application file (TuneECU.exe) to a folder location of your choice.
The key file, needed to unlock the connection to the vehicle must be copied to the same folder as the TuneECU application.

Thanks guys, I'll give that a try

I have TuneECU to 5 computers of different generation and configuration, 2xXP, 1xWin7-Prof, 1xWin7-Ultimate, 1x Win7-Home. On all computers the software works.

So why should it not work on your computer?;)

Hi Guys
i have been trolling this web site since i got my rocket in 05
and now that the release of a free ecu software program has arrived
i feel this is a more direct link to the origonator

i have been looking at buying a new touchscreen phone
primaraly for use as a blue tooth music player

i am wonering
is the tuneECU suitable for use on touch screen phones ?

i am thinking of a LG 900KM uses JAVA
but if this software is only usable on say a windows phone
then this would sway the choise

anybody had any experience with this ??
