Triumph GT windscreen on the R, worth it or buffeting?

I've had this windshield for over a year and at speeds 140+ [obviously not much more]... like anything else, once you hit 120, I do need to lower my torso towards the shield to deflect some of that "high speed" wind; I didn't go with the taller one thinking it would be flimsy and wobble more. It's a thick shield too - no regrets at all with this addition

It definitely keeps the wind off my chest 100% and the helmet, for the most part... until triple digits winds that I mentioned above show up

another alternative Gustafsson Plastics 24"

The GT OEM screen blocks/screens a little bit of wind from your midsection, but you get full wind from the top of your chest and up. I'm the guy that posted about the two larger screens and the Puig screen, which is actually just marginally larger (we're talking a few millimeters in height only) than the OEM screen and it looks better than the OEM screen. The tinted one I bought is for sale if you'd like it. Message me and we can talk turkey.

Well, still trying to get my wind management under control. 24 1/2" screen from Poland with a spoiler. I have it pretty good, but still felt a little of that inside your head vibration called buffeting. So I cut a hole in it something like Cal Sci does on their shields. Test later. 2 1" holes and a 2" hole connected with a jig saw. And lots of sanding.

Windscreens are for pussies! Plus it messes up the look of the bike. When I got my GT the first thing I did was take off the factory windscreen.

A ***** if you use a windshield? That’s new. Over my many years on this forum it seems you’re a ***** if you have a windshield, bar end mirrors, modified seat, colored lighting, keep the two headlights instead of one, tires with the cobra still visible and not ground down, stock horn, peg road grinders still in good shape, oem brake lights not changed, can’t ride 30 hours straight and last but not least, you only ride on the weekends and oh yeah, trailer your Rocket to an event. But If you bench press 350 plus the above doesn’t apply. I’m such a *****.

I know, I know... just yanking your chain. When I first started riding (a 250 Ninja) I couldn't believe how bad the wind was on the highway. I seriously thought it would blow me off the bike. I quickly just learned to ignore it and don't even notice it anymore.

Mighty Mouse, I see you are in the Northern Sierra. Whereabout? I'm also in Northern CA (Wheatland).
