triple K&N here... Forgot others.

Necessary if you remove the plenum and intake plumbing. and the OE under seat air filter..

Crankcase breather needs filter or you fill the crankcase with crap!

The AT sensor for intake air temp and pressure needs protecting also as it controlls the AFR at various times..

I have the triple k&n's; how necessary are these other two filters?

My guess is you would not need the crankcase filter if you left the original filter under the seat and capped off the end that used to go up under the tank.

WOW sam2100, you saved what by not going to our forum supporter, Flip?
Less than $10?
Congratulations indeed . . .

Not a good idea when I originally fitted my triples I was advised that I could do that but guess what stuff you leave in the old air box eg wet whether gear will get covered in oil mist ( messy) so I then extended the breather outlet inside the air box into a small catch tank that end in disaster when I got 5 km up the road as the vent in the catch tank was to small and caused the oil cap to dislodge and cover my left leg in oil.
So in answer Yes the breather filter is very nessasary

Was a bit worried I had pissed a few people off, so glad to hear you guys didn't take my mistake too seriously.

lol, anyone bark at you like that, just tell em to **** off then give them a hug, its all good.
