The parts are in, I have all 5 K&N filters and plan to do the deed very soon. I was also planning to remove the secondaries at the same time. I read the post about the "how to" very carefully and don't see any problems. Is there any last minute advice or pitfalls I should be looking out for? (besides dropping the screws into the TB's) The PCIII has not arrived yet so maybe I shouldn't do the secondaries till its in? With the secondaries removed, will the 7% reduction in 1-3 gears be restored or is that just going to lean the mixture? I'm not familiar with how they accomplish the 7% power reduction, I got the impression that the butterflies just did not open fully. I'm almost sure that that is wrong and that the timing and injector duration is part of the equasion as well. The tuneboy thing will have to wait awhile so I'm starting with filters and PCIII. Oh, and it already has the D&D's installed.
What are your thoughts?

I wouldn't do the triple filters until you install the PCIII and have the appropriate tune for it. It'll take Tuneboy to gain "full power."

In the end, to get the desired performance, what is the difference between a PowerCommander and a TuneBoy. Aside from $100. To begin with there's so much more with the TuneBoy. At the same time, I hate to say support sucks; on the other hand, I wouldn't want to go back to stock with a PCIII.

Did it all today

I followed all the installation information posted for the K&N triple filters + breather and sensor, PCIII, butterfly removal and resistor mod today. Thanks to the detailed installation and modification info posted, I knocked it all out in about an hour. WOW ... it's like night and day difference!! The bike just came alive like an animal and ran perfect. 1st gear is now extremely DANGEROUS! I can't wait till some ****** rocket cowboy tries me now. You guys are AWSOME! Thanks so much for the tips and advice. (boy is my dealer gonna be upset) :)

I plan on doing this mod soon. Pretty confident I'm not going to be able to do it in an hour. :D Any hiccups at all? Any advice?

The most difficult part was pulling out all the stock plumbing and that wasn't so hard. There are alot of hidden fastners to look out for, so look out.;)
