Torsional Damper Shaft

Has anyone had one apart. A trip to my local dealer (7hr drive) to find them closed, thanks to Hurricane Arthur. I cannot remove the hexagon nut (right hand thread) on the outer end of the shaft. I have held the shaft in my lathe and locked the spindle from turning and still can not move it. Also has anyone assembled one? The info is not included in the manual I have. I have access to a press. Do I need any more special tools? Any info would be appreciated. I have been off the road for a couple of weeks now

Begin chiming. Hi Jake, I just took mine apart. Locked the shaft in a vice with soft jaws, then used this huge adjustable wrench we have at work. It's REALLY tight. It gives the torque spec. in the manual and it's up there (can't remember off hand). Also, it is a right hand thread. I thought maybe I was going the wrong way at first.
