I'm very happy with my TORs, Wildrooster. They are not all that much louder than stock, but they give a presence to the 2300cc motor. They won't offend the neighbours. I put Roadhouse slipons on my Vulcan 2000, and they were too loud for the Chosen One so I had to change back to stock. She has no problem riding with the TORs on the R3T.

I assume you are getting the Triumph retune with the TORs ? I can't tell you what the HP increase is with the Triumph tune (there certainly is an increase), but if you're not happy with it, for an outlay of a couple hundred $ Tuneboy will give you a big whack of the RIII Standard/Classic power back (just make sure you use the correct version of the Tuneboy program:eek: ) I'm sure Harry or Pig9R will be along shortly with more detail on HP/Torque gains.

I have the TORs on my R3T as well - they give the sound a nice bass note - not much louder though. I seem to notice that there is more pull from about 80 mph and over with the Triumph tune - never dyno'd though.

I guess what I was hoping for was a little more power not the full power at least not yet and a sound a bit different than a mosquito currently I am sure I don't have to explain this but I hear the engine not the pipes. I was used to setting off car alarms I know thats not going to happen with this bike bike but something to remind me I am on a bike back to the power part just a little more get up and go

You won't come close to setting off car alarms, but it will certainly let you know you've got 2300cc under you, and will give that bit of extra power you're after.

Your R3Touring will be honky-dory with the TOR's and the associated dealer re-mapped tune. No need to indulge in a Tuneboy, unless you want to extract more power out of the mill (in which case you'd have been better off with a "Classic"?) . And please keep in mind that the deliberate, ex-factory Touring detune is NOT just a matter of e:mapping. A popular Touring combo over here is exactly that: TOR cans, the associated "accessory muffler" tune and, BTW, an under-the-seat K&N air filter in lieu of the std unit.

Best. Jamie

I have been looking at the tunes for the R3T and after looking at the ones they have out I think I will go with the TORs K&N and dealer tune. To get more the only thing I can figure out would be the 3 filters and some how getting that darn cat out from under the bike. Now I have had every sort of small animal under the bike and manage to loose them fast but this is the first time a cat has been stuck under a bike I have had and I cant figure out how to loose it

On the R3T the cats are in the muffler housings. That little box you see under the bike is simply a connector, it is hollow. The TORS eliminate the cats.
