Indeed! I first dropped down to the 140, then tried the 130 and now, for the reason given in my last post, returning to the 140. Just do it, Chipper - you won't believe the improvement!
Chip,
I just realized you have a R3T, correct?
Your dynamics are different than us with Roadsters, Classics and Standards.
So be careful to dope out exactly what you are doing!
I went down one size 140/75-17 and it made big difference in the handling. The one thing I have to watch for is where I park. The smaller tire causes the bike to stand up more on its side stand. so I have to make sure I park where the side incline is not on the kick stand side. saying this, the change is worth it. the next one will be the 130 just for better handling in the twistys.

I'm wanting to drop down to 140s and try it. I had intended to put Avon Cobras, but they don't have a 140 in 16 inch wheels. When you dropped down to 140s, what aspect ratio did you get? I'm wondering just how many millimeters I'm dropping (or need to drop) the front end from the stock 150/80 R16. Also, does reducing the width from 150 to 140 or even, in your case, down to 130 affect traction on wet pavement? Thanks, in advance!
My apologies for the late response.
The OP did not have a RT, which caused me to misunderstood your post.
Please remove any lingering disgruntlement you may have toward me???
