Tire Balance

I've seen some information on balance beads, I understand that they work and am wondering if water, above freezing, wouldn't be just as effective.
I've filled tractor tires for traction purposes, but never tried it for balance.

I use dyna beads. They work very well. Water in theory should work, but I think an anti freeze with corrosion inhibitors might be a better choice. Would it foam ? Does it matter if it foams ?

If you would like to be a guinea pig you could try it and let the rest of us know how it works.

For what it's worth bikes are dangerous enough as it is. 80% of my riding is 2 up so I'm not much of a pioneer. That said I do run a darkside tire with dyna beads but I wasn't the first to try it. Dyna beads are relatively inexpensive from their web site and they did the R&D.

I'm riding a black RIII 2005. Got a yearning for a new bike but couldn't find anything I like more so I've begun upgrading.
I've gone to a D&D exhaust, TuneBoy is on the way along with a new tire and some Progressive shocks. Merry Christmas and thanks for the welcome.

Water or calcium chloride/water mix well why would you want to add all that weight to her unless your going to plow fields
Other then that you would probably have to go to a Suzuik place for the rear because the wheel is to large for a bike balancer I was thinking that if Suzuki could balance the M109 tire then they should be able to do the rocket Rear. If your not going to run her over 160 mph I would run the dyna beads I have not felt any vibrations at 170 mph with them.

Of course these speeds are dangerous and above the tire recomendations. I am sure they built a safety factor in them but they probably have not run them for much duration at them speeds.

Unless your a hooligan as skip would say I would stay below 150 or buy Carbon fiber rims and ZR rated tires$$$$$$$$$

I broke the bead on the Metzler and got one side off, had to take a break. I'm gonna mount a Goodyear F1. I'm in MS. at the moment, on vacation. I'm leaving to go work in Houston and the bike is going with me. There's a place in Humble that sells the dynabeads so I'll probably run them instead of fooling around with water.

I've got an F1 sitting in the garage waiting for the metz to wear out, what size did you get and let us know how it fits. I'm concerned about clearance issues with such a wide tire, especially after looking at it sitting next to the bike. I went with a 245/50 ZR16.

I mounted a 225/50vr16. Raining here today so I didn't take it out, but it should be clear in the morning. I'm gonna hit a parking lot and see what it feels like before I go see what it Feels Like.
It looks good to me, I don't expect any clearance problems since some are running up to 245/55. I'll take a picture when I get some daylight.
