The great Winston Churchill

Where did you buy your $82 dollar starter and did just mount right up or did you have to adjust it
Discount starter and alternator; pull it up and this the starter I bought $82.00 brand new and shipped
New Starter 1999 TOYOTA SOLARA 2.2L
  • SKU: 17774N_PLA-47

you will need to swap your original front gear Bendix, be careful when you take apart the front Bendix (two screws) because if the gears and ball bearings drop out and you are not too sure mechanically, I recommend you have someone who is mechanically inclined do it. if you use the new solenoid you will also have to use the spring, ball & plunger from your oem starter

if it was the toyota one I think a spacer is needed if my memory is working:eek: but I have been wrong many a time before:D
I didn't use a spacer, but if you use their new solenoid you will have to use the oem ball, spring & solenoid plunger because the plunger stem is about a half inch too long and the ball is slightly larger also the spring is longer; Other than those few minor modifications it is a piece of cake and well worth 82.00 compared to around 750.00 for the oem which is only 1.2kw and the new one is 1.4kw; that's not counting if you were to get triumph do the whole job for you, I believe it could cost more than a grand. "Be Safe!

I'm as liberal as they come but I can't see how my great love for Winston Churchill qualifies as a racist pig"

Ah, I see the line you quoted was poorly phrased by me. I corrected it in my original post.

I absolutely did not mean any reference to you but rather that liberals in America have savaged this great man as a racist pig. Uber Bill Maher even recently objected to it as an example of the liberal PC gone mad. From one of the reports:

"When asked to define political correctness, Maher cited the apology astronaut Scott Kelly issued this week after he was criticized for quoting Winston Churchill on Twitter.

“[Kelly] had to issue an apology for that for quoting Churchill because Churchill I guess Churchill lived by the standards of the 19th Century,” Maher said. “This is the guy who saved us from the Nazis!”"

True story...

Winston attended a formal meeting with Russians , America’s etc after war. During. The meeting an aid of his came to the table and whispered in his ear “Sir , you are flying at half mast” ( British was of saying his zipper was open)

Winston replied to this aid “ don’t worry my dear boy , a dead bird never leaves it nest”...

Years later it was discovered that the Russions spent untold resources analyzing his remark...they thought it was code.

I hear you bro, I usually don't agree 100% with anyone and we all have flaws, I simply try to keep things as simple as possible by asking myself when I make a choice, to foresee the choice how it effects others and ask honestly would I want this done to me and the answer is sometime hard to swallow and one would have to hire someone to confuse its simplicity, but life is not always that simple especially for a small minority in this country; They are not being truthful with themselves and viewing circumstances soberly as they are! Instead justifying the obvious into projections and false equivalencies and through ignorance and denial, redefining what the American experimental vision is into the way they wish that it was, bit through it all Winston says it very well

Churchill may have had a good WWII but his training in WWI was expensive - especially Gallipoli.
You hit it right on the head Ian, most people outside Britain think Churchill was a god because all they know of him is from WW11 as I said earlier he was a great war leader and a half decent painter and that is all the good things I will say about him.
