Hats off to my dealer today, they ordered a new tank and replaced it while I waited. No cost to me.
Again make sure your handle bars are tight: if they slip down they will contact and damage your tank. Rademis

Good deal. I knew there was a TBS on the bar clamps.

Now...Make sure your belt is tight....If your trousers slip down, they will contact the ground. No damage done except your self esteem.:D

I didn't mean to do it!

I had the same thing happen on a rental R3 when I accidentally did a wheelie and the front wheel thumped back on the pavement. The bars dropped down enough to contact the tank when I turned to full lock when I was at a gas station afterwards.

Rental R3?

what company would be mental enough to rent R3s? Thats cool and where was it..

I was about to post the same thing, early on when I first switched out the stock pipes I was wheelie happy and one of them I didn't set the bike down as gently as normal and I felt the bars rotate down.. Luckily I was close enough to home to go home and tighten them up...

I made sure when I installed my T bars to get some loctite and to get teh bars in the perfect position .....
