Swap my Roadster Controls For Standard ones

I can go with the bad judgement, its about time, should have did other things than buy a new bike too but thats what I wanted and Ive got it and Ill make due.Been doing that too so im getting use to it. Don't by no means like it though and I can't let it get me down and I won't. Ill also find a set of controls for it, sooner or later.Still looking. Have a good day.

Since it's all water under the bridge, you might want to re-read your messages and look at the tone of your messages. Your writing comes off as abusive and mean spirited....just saying.

I would have dropped you at the first time you "told" me I have to go out of my way to do your bidding.

Good luck to you in the future, but I wouldn't expect anyone here to go out of their way for you without a sincere public apology to Mr. Hellfire. I'm sure he wouldn't ask for it, but it would be the right thing to do.

+1 Yep what he said!

:D:D:D:D Im exhausted after reading this thread and a little amused:cool:wait till ya see the price of a rear tyre
This is some funny stuff. Forget the rear tire Mitch He'll never make it past the first 500 mile service and oil change. And we don't exactly get the best gas milage. I think this gentleman made a classic mistake of buyers remorse.

truth is stranger than fiction !! While I would characterize my driving habits as heavy on miles, I expect my basic monthly motorcycle expenses to range from $350-$375 during riding season. Those estimates include only fuel, basic preventive maintenance and amortized tire costs. I do all of the wrenching myself, including the tire work. These statements are not to be construed as complaints just a mere statement of the cost of riding this bike (or any large bike for that matter). I would not trade this bike for any other form of transportation, but in a case of tight finances you (gary1945) should consider other alternatives. Failure to consider alternatives should be regarded as voluntary financial suicide.

understood.I guess everyone here is ill about it,minor or heavy cussing won't help either, sorry for getting you that way though, wasn't intended on my part. You all have a good day anyway.

Exhausted and disappointed mate. And I guess a little amused too.

Gary, I and others really felt for you and your predicament and HellFire in particular has already put himself out to try to help you. He does that all the time and if you stick around on this site you'll see just how much he is prepared to help people with his advice and experience. It's a shame that $295 seemed too much for you to pay for over a $1000 worth of gear (that is for aftermarket, and lord knows what you'd pay for genuine parts). For obvious reasons, you rarely see this stuff for sale - that's why a swap seemed the only feasible way to go - so you have perhaps missed not only your best chance but maybe your only chance. Not to mention the free advice you'd have got along with it. You would have quite quickly I'm sure found a buyer for your Roadster set up and you might even have made a $ or two on the deal.

There's some good advice in jrhorton's post.

Good luck, and hope you get it sorted one way of the other. It seems like a crime against nature for anyone to own a Rocket and not be able to ride it.

Im for sure too old and tired to be mean or abusive, short and to the point, yes, thats a bad read on words on a computer monitor whether they like it or not and thats all it is,but, it don't really make any difference, everyone has their own opinion and a right to it. As far as telling everyone here Im sorry for being me,I can do that too, consider this just that too,but don't forget everyone if the shoe fits remember to look in your own closet too,no one is perfect in the the eyes of others and we are all different from each other. At any rate Ill manage to get what i need, maybe pay for new too.It will just take a little time either way,new or used but I will get the Rocket and me on it and it on the road with me. You have a good day also CanberraR3.
