Nitrous
...I just finished installing those chrome exhaust manifold covers that Rivco sells. When I stuck the 12mm socket on the acorn nuts to take them off, I didn't even really need the ratchet. The nuts just spun off with the socket and 2" extension
So, after installing the chrome covers and putting everything back together, I gave the nuts a good wrist snug (which equates to the 12-14 ft lbs recommended (utilizing my calibrated "dead reckoning")....
Any other fasteners on this bike that I need to check? I checked most of the obvious but NEVER considered the exhaust manifold acorn nuts. That shouldn't been even an issue. Or should it be, with these Rockets during assembly at the factory?
-or- do these exhaust manifold acorn nuts have a propensity to loosen after being cycled through heat cycles by the engine (warming up/cooling down)?
Kindest Regards,
-Will
