Hey gang, do you replace the rocker gasket on your family cars at 32K??
have seen the crap quality of the rubber boots on your bike not to mention when you get work done on your car most mechanic will replace every gasket they can to avoid you coming back telling to shove it up thier arse or just to make a couple extra bucks loaded onto the price they pay

I was jusy sugesting it might have harden due to the way a lot of other triumph rubber part have decomposed on my bike, it is probally the only real complaint I have otherwise I love my girl:D

Ttfn

Well I said I'd get back to you... I am not sure what it was - When I went to ride the bike in for repair, it blew out the oil filler cap and covered me in about a gallon (probably a pint) of oil. So I called and had them come pick it up. I told them what was wrong / had happened and requested 30k service and fix issue... Well they damaged the tank and bars transporting the bike, so long story short, after a lot of haggling, they made me an offer I couldn't refuse and I traded the Rocket in against a 2012 Connie. So, I wish you all safe riding fun and I'll see you on the road sometime.

Sounds like your Rocket was constipated.

A 12 Connie? Nuttin wrong with that, I would love to have one of those. Although I would have traded for the Tiger Explorer.

No, I mean a Connie as in Kawasaki Concours.. I LOVE Bonnie's, but a tad small for me; if I could afford to have one just for local rides I would.

I've got 2012 Roadster with 28,000 k's on it. I bought the bike with 27,500 k's. I've just noticed a small seepage of oil on the rear right side of the rocker cover gasket. I've wiped it down and I'll see how it goes. I had the bike out that day for a really good blast, but no red line or anything. Might take it in for a check if the seepage comes back.

mine weeps a lil from under the oil tank nothing serious I just ride the bastard  next time its in for a major service ill just tell them that it wont be there when I get it back"the weeping not the bike" and bobs ya farkin uncle mate 49000 k on her now and she rides bloody beautiful . never selling it ever
