STS Auto indicator install

Pete what did you use for the switched power source?

Hey Plow Horse
Too long ago to remember for my substance abused brain.
I remember the instructions were easy to follow and it was a simple install.
There is also a utube demo of an install on the web

Thanks for the reply. Yes It is an easy install. I’m just looking for a better power source than what I used (heated grips circuit) it is causing a very minor issue. But I just can’t leave it alone till it’s right

Just put your blinkers on and start ploughing;):D:D

But can you pull it off alone? And we want a detailed report of your 'tractive pull' to the lb., like below.
Collars, Hames and Harness Fitting - Small Farmer's Journal

Fig. 2 — L.J. Smith pair.

The pairs shown in figures 2 and 3, and the pair on the cover page, are present joint holders of the world’s record in pulling contests for pairs weighing 3,000 pounds and over. The photographs were taken at Centerville, Michigan, September 24, 1943, when the three pairs tied for a new world’s record. They exerted a tractive pull of 4100 pounds, equivalent to pulling 10 plows cutting furrows 14 inches wide and 6 inches deep, through ordinary corn belt black loam soil, or equivalent to starting, for 15 or 20 consecutive times, a load of 53,246 pounds on a wagon over granite block pavement.

Collar and hames for my Rocket :sneaky: now that’s an idea. I think these SoCal coppers wouldn’t take to kindly to me putting on a pair of blinkers and shooting down the 405 doing about 90. :p

Under the left hand side panel there is a connector for the EVAP canister on California bikes. Looks like a sensor connector. One of these wires (sorry I cannot remember the colour off hand) is a switched power source. I Use it to switch the PDM60. If it were me I would add an aux circuit like the PDM60 for all accessories ANYWAY.

Update in case anyone is interested, I changed the power source I was using for my STS unit. Stayed with the same circuit (Heated Grips connector) but switched from the blue wire to the purple wire and all is good now. Installed a set of LED headlights too. WOW what a difference they make.
