I spent Sunday fixing up the wiring at the tail light end of the guard/fender , had rubbed a few times since putting the Nitro Hagons on late last week , damage was minimal , I also had to piggyback the number plate light off the taillight wire as that had stopped working months ago and I couldn't find the cause. I could only get access to the wiring so far around with the wheel on but with careful wrapping and ziptieing I think it's up out of the way , problem solved........
That is until yesterday when I had the bike at
@ozrider place to give the bike some rear drive servicing , with rear wheel off we found the wiring at the leading edge had also been rubbing and caused damage , it was obvious to me this part had been getting wear well before I fitted the Hagon shocks , reason I know is that broken yellow wire happens to be the one for the tail light that stopped working months ago.
Only reasons I can see for this happening are the dark side tire plus the load I had when I travelled to RDU last year , I did suffer a flat tire a couple months ago and had to ride a couple hundred metres to pull over on a safe spot , I honestly don't think that's what caused the damage.
Anyway Les being the fkn champion he is not only removed the wheel and greased the drive but he also wrapped the damaged wiring and tucked it up out of the way , he then went over the rear ABS as the light was still on from the tangle with my pack , a few tweaks and bends here and there hey presto was working like new , I really can't say enough good things about Lez and really am grateful getting to know such a good bloke I would of been stuck without his help.
