Watched the video. Not impressed. Removal of forks is required to drain oil from forks. Bought and used tool T3880160 ($102.99) evacuator for filling the front forks to the correct level. Not really required but makes the job easy.
I had mine fitted by a local suspension guy. Paid 100Euros for full service (inc new seals oil etc) and fitment of new maxton parts - subsequent adjustment - free. Simply not worth doing it myself.
One risk of over strong springs is aggressive topping out. Maxton fit small rebound springs in their dampers. Others may too of course.
Traxxion on the front of my Roaster with a 1.1 kg spring. My shop said it was a bit of a job, not exactly a drop in install. Getting the Racetech’s on the rear soon.

Yes it was a job. At the same time we replaced the headstock bearings and wheel bearings. Worked out rather well. Smooth ride with no wobble. Like Progressive suspension. Fair price and a quality product. Another plus made in the U.S.A.
Finally got the spring compressor tool, no directions. Can anyone help me out? First things first, the cap on either fork wont come off, just keeps snapping and dropping back down. See video, what am I doing wrong?

Remove wheel and forks from bike. Otherwise you will get nowhere fast.
What's happening is the the wheel and other fork are pulling the fork open - all you are doing there is damaging the thread on the cap. The cap is attached to the inner damper and the damper rod is turning.
Traxxion Dynamics are the US company that's awesome and sells world wide.
Maxton is the other awesome company that's in the UK and decided they don't need to make money, so, refuse to buy the indemnity required to sell in the US. Their loss, they're only missing the biggest market for their products in the world, <shrug>.

The direction in the manual goes over the use of the tools. I recommend you at least read it a couple times you'll figure out were you went wrong.
Once you get her apart you can get a triangular file and dress up the buggered threads. Hopefully your only stuck on one but either way you can save the threads.

They're not the only ones. The insurance is crippling for small businesses. And tbh I think Maxton (and 1 other I know of) are simply happy being small.
Got this done last Sunday, with some help from the wife to slide that piece in a few times. First one took about a month, second one took half an hour. Thanks for the suggestions.
