Seriously pissed off !
Arrived at the surgical suite 80 miles from home at 7.30 this morning .pre op checks all good and dressed in tights and a gown with my arse hanging out .
First on list , op due for 9.30 am . 10am visited by the surgeon who tells me because of my recent medical history , he was not prepared to operate until a bed in the ICU
Ward was available post op .
Wait until lunch time to be told I would be going down in the next hour or so .
4.30 pm I am told that because of an emergency , there is now no bed available
So surgery must be postponed until another date can be finalised .
I got to do the diet all over again !
Seriously disappointed , but then again can't help feeling for the poor soul that needed the bed more than I . Now stuck 80miles from home with a heavy heart , more questions than answers and to top it all it's just started raining ! You gotta laugh .
Thanks guys for all the wishes . Gonna save them for next time .
