Sold my Harley

Had Harleys for a good few years was always a fan of the 1340 evo engine. Spent sometime with the twin cam 88 engine and wasn't very impresed... cam problems .
Eagerly awaited the 07 96 cu engine and ordered a new Fatboy.
Jesus the heat that thing put out would roast you and always played on my mind.
Decided to go liquid cooled and got a new Vrod Muscle and in truth the performance wasn't that bad albeit in a stright line. The paint work was very good but the rest of the bike was poor, and the resale value sucks. I don't know where Harley are going but I do know they won't be getting any more of my money.
I often look at the Rocket and ask my self what I would replace it with and I honestly don't know. I love my big fast comfortable British bike.

got to be a dangerous trend for h-d !! I did the same in january sold my 2001 fat and bought a 2006 r3 with 5000kms that's 3500 miles for you fellez south of the border and gave a diff of $500. I only miss the potato,potato potato. If i do not work this spring/summer i am coming to see you batman bc is nice by way of #3

Every suit with an extra 20k bought one in the 90's, now they tire of looking at them over in the corner of the garage staining the floor and can't unloadem'. Guys at work are telling me things like "oh it's about due for a trans (whatever) and after that a lower engine (whatever)" , I'm lookin' at them like theyre crazy. These bikes don't have 20k miles on them and they already have scheduled internal engine and trans parts to replace?????? You couldn't give me a harley.
