Smoking positive battery terminal

It does sound like there is too much resistance in the cable. Since it is old now, maybe time for new cables. I have replaced my negative cables on the 2014 twice already and about to a third time when I upgrade the starter to the Toyota.

FYI.. I've tried a lot of battery companies these folks have been the best so far. I just replaced both batteries in the Rocket and RK. It's kinda funny how the Rocket battery is almost half the size of the RK what the he!! were they thinking for an engine this size.
I paid $100.00 for the Rocket battery shipped # ETX20L As far as the smoking goes did you check and see if the battery had been charged. Last time my pos terminal smoked the battery was too low.
