Small leak

Just got a new '09 Rocket Touring and I noticed a few drops from underneath one of the over flow tubes especially when the bike sits out in the open in the heat. I thought it was oil but smells like gas. Is this normal?

Mine did that a few times when it was new. Especially if the tank was full. Don't recall seeing it in the last 10K or so. I wouldn't worry about it.

It's just the gas tank venting a bit after heating up.

Thanks for the help, really like the bike allot. In fact I traded a '04 BMW RT for it after test riding the R3.

welcome i have 2 rockets tourer here and they both leaked a little oil but quit after bout the first 1000 miles went riding a couple weeks ago and i noticed some oil on the engine on the left side couldnt find where it was coming from and aint done since

I had that issue last winter... a couple of drops of Water Wetter and no more problem. Give it a try and see if it goes away.
