Has anyone had problems with their sidestand sensor? I have an '09 R3 and my sensor shorted out - long story short, it thinks my stand is down while I'm riding and cuts the engine. I have it in the shop, still under warranty, but, of course, Triumph doesn't have the part available stateside - it's been a week of waiting now.

Anyway, is there a way to disconnect/bypass the sensor altogether?

Yes. The sidestand switch has a black/red wire going to it. (Look on page 18.25 of the manual). The switch appears to be open when the stand is down. Jumper the switch using a splice and take it to ground to energize the start circuit. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. When you get the new switch remove the jumper (or seal it up). If you unplug the switch just alligator clip the live end to ground and it should work.;)
