Side bag scuffs

"3M Scotchgard Urethane film" looks like the way to go. I wonder how difficult it is to apply correctly?

I recall seeing one of the sellers on Amazon having the training videos available. 3M wants it installed by a certified installer, I believe, but basically you first cut it to size, then use a mild water+soap mix in a spray bottle and spray alot of that underneath, then you can slide the urethane into place. Once it's on there, you take a squeegee and sweep outwars from the center to get the excess water out and finish up with some alcohol I think once the bubbles are out. Roughly.

since I have a driver back rest I just stepp on the peg rail where it turns into the bike, stand up and throw your leg over the extra hiegth gives plenty of clearance except whe the wifey is on the bike her head gets in the way. Not that you scuff the bags mind you

Yep, I was thinking side covers and a strip across the bottom of the tank where you can't avoid to rub it as well.

My paint is beat, not that I'm easy on it, but I think the paint is pretty weak on it to start with, apparently in Europe they can only use water based paint? Worst is from carrying a tire tossed over the passenger backrest, it rubbed the top of one of the cases pretty good. Thinking of a new color next winter, anyway, but I can't decide what.
