Shock Noise - Overloaded?

I have a set of standard length Progressive 412 HD shocks on the rear of my 06 Standard and they have developed an odd sucking noise during rebound. Is that a result of overloading them?

It also seems like they are compressing more and have noticed the occasional tire rub.

Can 412's be serviced and rebuilt or is it just cheaper to replace them?

Is there any sign of fluid around the seals, I think you have to send them back to progressive for repairs if needed, I would contact them. I went for the Hagons because a mate who had progressive's had an issue and to send them stateside was nearly as much was a new set

Main reason I splashed out for the 440s was the lifetime warranty which I had to use a couple of weeks ago (first time in six years)
