The R3 has the aerodynamics of a brick, and most people have no idea of it's potential. Show up with v rated tires, say you are hoping to hit 150 mph. Once you get your official 170, just shrug your shoulders, grin, and say oops.

You would have to do it the pretty quick while your attaining the speed license and right before the test using 150mph run her up in the hopes of the disqualification notice will have the speed written on it or the trap ticket attached. They don't just let a feller loose to spin the bike all the way up. Until you're licensed.

Jeremy explained first run is you go half mile and show them you can shut her down and follow flags. He said the flags are hard to pick up and you must run a certain speed to get your license. He said hardest thing is picking up flags at high speeds,

Here are some record runs Jeremy has run, there’s one picture with guy on bike, it’s not Jeremy it was his best friend, pro rider, he had hit a deer and lost that left leg you can tell in picture, years later he bought a busa and stopped by shop and said this beast is gonna kill me, well he was out riding one morning and in a high speed sweeper rounded the corner and buzzards were on a deer, he missed the deer but a buzzard hit him in head and took him off bike, they assumed he was killed quickly.

Unfortunately I have two problems. One is that I don't have a "get out of jail free" card, and the other is that my Curry Burner won't reach those speeds.

However, my old RIII did see that speed - in Alabama - on a dyno.

Your old R3 got to see 4th gear up to 8000 rpms for a little bit a few months ago. According to the gear vs rpm chart that's right about 170.

Not bad for a bike with a few miles but not too many mods.
