Kevin, Do you have any up-dates on the engine job @Claviger is doing for you ?
He has opened it up and started disassemble and is waiting on parts they should be here this week. He said it looked good inside no issues.

I have only read rules for Texas mile and it just states, the tire you run must meet or exceed oem specs and the speed you expect to run must be in accordance with speed rating of tire, so v would be 149 max, I have found some w up to 168 I believe which would work but it’s a 160 with a 69 load index and I don’t think 69 or 706lbs would meet oem spec

No, a "V" tis 149+.
Who is to say that + ain't 21 mph?

Some other things to consider. Reduce the frontal area. Items like the radiator, handle bars etc need to be more streamlined.

I can tell you firsthand, once it’s over 150, it wants to lift, rip your arms off the bars and frankly gets seriously hairy. It’s still pulling like crazy and has LOTS of power left, but it’s lack of aerodynamics starts playing hard.

I’m eager to watch what you come up with!

Ok so some research and I found most V rated tires are up to 149 max. Manufactures tend to list max at 149 for a V rated tire. Now I did look at places that sell tires and well most think even though they are just a peddler of many motorcycle accessories and had nothing to do with speed ratings tend to say V rated = 149+ I tend to believe the manufacturer in these cases. And yes you can run them over speed as by that time you are in the death zone things can go bad up there !

:ninja:At this rate you’ll are dashing my dreams of going fast on the big bagger :ninja:
Dude you can do that two ways on a touring well three if you count putting it on a aircraft :
The other two can cost money. One doesn't involve safety rules. But if the cops catch you you will be paying :)

If you are making one, @warp9.9 , two would hardly be much more trouble. :whitstling:
No warp has only thought a while ago while designing mine. To be honest I hardly have the time to work on mine !!!!! I still have a picture of the top yoke top view ;)

One day your out working in the woods and then old man winter changes your planned work
