rune vs. r3 front tire

rune runs a 150/60/18 tire.--r3 runs a150/80/17 tire.--c/l of axle to ground is 11.75 for rune --12.75 for r3. rune runs a bigger rim but lower height which affects trail.--handling.--can't believe non of you is interested in this ! talk,talk,talk--about rear.--front is what saves your ass ! does bigger rim/ lower profile tire handle better ?--1 inch difference ?--jlm

 

[Triple Trouble]

According to my rough calculations the Rune front tire will still be approximately 1.4" less in diameter due to the lower profile. The only sure way to know is to get the specs of each tire and compare the rolling radii. I believe that a larger rim /lower profile tire of the same diameter will give you sharper steering response at the expense of a harsher ride though the difference may be negligible.
