Rockets Across America III

Scowherd

That was thought of but we decided not to because we would like this to be family (R3 family) event to just enjoy and meet new people with no distractions.

OK I am throwing this idea out there to see if there is any intrest.
My mom lives in a small town just east of Carthage TN. it is in the foot hills of the smokes and there is a lot of nice ridding. She is and hour from Nashville and I think 3 hours from the dragon. She has a farm with 40 acres on which we can camp but there are also hotels close by if anyone would prefere. I have not tossed this idea at her yet wanted to see if there was any intrest first but as a fellow rider I am sure she would be up for it.
There are hunreds of miles of beautiful riding threw country side and hill side. She was been living and ridding there for over 10 years.

Let me know if this is a possablity and I will get her on board.

Pig9r, First off I wanna say I'm glad you're ok. We was just worried thats all. Next, nobody wants to take the reins from you on this, I hope I didn't come across like that, as it sure wasn't my intention.
Lastly (for now anyway) I drew up 3 patch/pin ideas and got them in my pics. Before y'all start on my lack of artistic talent, I ASKED for anybody who had talent to give this a shot, heck, I KNOW I ain't no artist, but its my humble effort. Maybe somebody can and will improve on it. Personally, I like the one on top. The hexagon, as I don't have a patch or pin like that, but hey, I'm open here.
Y'all take care and to GOD be the Glory,

Possibly (hopefully) starting a new job soon, but if I can, I would like to attend. Because of new job, may not be able to take too much time off but I have proven I can ride about 855 miles in one day so that would probably be about the limit of my range for the time being unless I was able to get more time off. Would probably have to involve a weekend as well.

In A Quandry

I'm not sure if I'm able to go or not. Maybe I missed something, but there's not a confirmed place or date.

If it's going to start on June 21st as Pig9r suggested, I've got to work that weekend and can't make it.

Can someone set up a poll for us to vote here on our site ..... and whichever place and date gets the most votes settles where and when it will be. That way no one is stuck taking the credit or the blame for the decision.

Also, though the idea of going when there's a biker's event isn't my cup of tea. I want to spend time with fellow Captains that I've met on this site. Also, those of us who rode to Nashville last year agreed we'd like a smaller venue so there's less traffic to fight through when we do ride to dinner or around the area. In addition, though the one ride we had time to do around Nashville was beautiful, it only took a few hours out of 2 days of getting together. I think most of us would want to spend the short amount of time we have with each other getting to know the face and personality we've talked with on the forum a great deal. I know I enjoyed meeting and putting a face with a name. I think I can find great riding roads on the way down and back so my real priority is spending time getting to talk with, laugh with and mostly eat with all the other Captains. I'm like Flip...... the place isn't as important as the fellowship!

Over and Out!

So.......it's looks like we may be talking July (like Nashville last year) or whatever the majority rules, the fellowship is the thing so the place doesn't matter to me as long as it fit's in my guidelines...I'll say within 1,000 miles of Molino, FL or closer.
