Most of us Texas guys are up for Luckenbach... lol It's a long, long ride for many of the others though. I'm definitely still for some Hill Country riding! But, I would be happy with that Talamena place as well... :)

lets see.

Here is how it looks so far. This is what Im seeing from the captions on this thread so far.

1) TXRlllrider, Hill country (or will travel)
2) Paul, Hill Country
3) goodFellow, Hill Country
4) Bohica, Hill Country
5) boogersdave, No Pref.
6) Flip, No Pref.
7) Pig9r, No Pref.
8) xhdskip, Throws in Talamena

If we do TX I posted a web site earier on in this thread with a Camp ground with camping or cabins set up mainly for bikers. To lazy to go back and look for it and don't have it in my fav. list here at home.

I still think we should settle on a date ASAP so people can plan then we can hash out a location.

P.S. Were is Talamena any ways ??

in the South Eastern section of Oklahoma from Talihina Ok. to Mena Arkansas. Lots of hills, parts of it follow the river. Just google it.
See what y'all think.

Like I said before, anytime, any place. However, I'm way too old to sleep on the ground. Besides, every time I 'camp', it rains. I still have distinct memories of awakening in the tent with the sensation of floating away, becoming fully awake is peering out of my soggy sleeping bag and a 'river' of water coursing through the tent......................

There is nothing better (sic) that being cold and wet and running out of clean (dry) clothes.

I, for one prefer a motel. I don't have to clean the mess, make the bed and even if it's a fleabag, there will be (I hope) a hot shower.

Me thinks I'll get a price on Tee shirts and maybe pressure sensitive stickers for this ride.

From here to Lukenbach, Texas is 1412 mi and 22 hours by the map, riding the interstates which I don't do. Lukenbach is just north of San Antoinio a bit. That would be an approximately 3500 mile trip for me including the side trips, riding around down there and coming back........sounds like another 2 week adventure for sure.

Now, if anyone want s me to bring some Flipmeisters stuff, it will be a business expense. I can write off the whole trip...................come-on.:D

Guess I'll have to start early on hardening up my tender ass.........................................

I could poss. make Florida. Doubt I could do Texas. I've already committed to one nine day trip, just don't enough vacation time to do that and go to Tx. I say go with the majority, even if that leaves me out.
