Rockets Across America III

There will be two couples coming from Central Texas area. Mason and Brady. We ride sometimes with another couple and he rides a red Rocket III and she either double-up with him or on her Trike. They are game also. We are soooo excited!

My route planner says about 691 miles, looks vary achievable for one day there, day in Eureka, and one day back. If my job schedule permits, count me in.

I think 2400 miles was his Nashville trip? It's only 650 miles (1300 round trip) from the metropolis of La Vernia to Eureka Springs..

At first when I read it I thought he meant one way and I knew it was 300 miles from here to Houston and League City is only a bit after that. So I was thinking we were in for a very long ride and lots of vacation days. I am not sure I would have that many vacation days available....

It was, Nashville via York, Pa, Kitty Hawk, NC, Maggie Valley to Nashville and Nashville (on the slab....bad to US 127 and north. 127 is a nice road It's 804 from here to Eureka Springs via the road I don't want to travel, the slab. Actually, it will be more like 900 miles give or take. I might not ride the R3. I might just ride the KLR or the Bonnie and the sidecar. My only problem might arise if I have to cut hay and that will depend on Ms. nature. That's outta my hands.

I'll most likely make it at least a week and a half trip. I am supposed to go to Branson with my department administrator and we haven't set a date yet. I quit worrying about whether I have the vacation time long ago. Even when I worked at my job, if I wanted to take a trip I did. I've never let any employer enslave me. Not then, not now. if you operate under that philosophy, when you get older, you'll look back on missed opportunities that you can never regain. I watched my dad and mom go that route and then look back about things they should have done and didn't.. That will never happen to me. There are things I probably should have done differently but when it comes to my 'off duty' time, nothing stands in the way.

I told them at school when I took this teaching job that I'd take off for farming and biking and if they couldn't deal with that, I'd pass on the job.

If I sell just one Flipmeister Item, I can call it a 'business trip'. I should have my chin spoiler on line by then as well as the K&N filters and some other stuff.

489 miles for me and 8.5 hours (Harley time) so I can probably shave an hour or so off of that, unless the wife comes and then it will be back to Harley time

Oh believe me I have taken my share of vacations. Usually when I start a new job I already have two vacations lined up they are going to have to let me off for. Never seemed to be a problem. It is just currently I am trying to not take any unpaid vacation time. Maybe I will have to be a Texas rep for Flipmeister products....

Snuff....Allow 10 hours. Your aged butt won't handle a straight 489. You won't **** straight for a month. Forget the BVD's. The seams will basically eat you alive. Get some riding underwear or womens cotton brief's (I won't call 'em panties) I don't want anyone to get the idea you might be a cross-dresser.......

My first 2 days of the Nashville trip, well, I thought my ass would fall off. By the third day, my ass was numb and it got better every following day.
