I think 2400 miles was his Nashville trip? It's only 650 miles (1300 round trip) from the metropolis of La Vernia to Eureka Springs..
It was, Nashville via York, Pa, Kitty Hawk, NC, Maggie Valley to Nashville and Nashville (on the slab....bad to US 127 and north. 127 is a nice road It's 804 from here to Eureka Springs via the road I don't want to travel, the slab. Actually, it will be more like 900 miles give or take. I might not ride the R3. I might just ride the KLR or the Bonnie and the sidecar. My only problem might arise if I have to cut hay and that will depend on Ms. nature. That's outta my hands.
I'll most likely make it at least a week and a half trip. I am supposed to go to Branson with my department administrator and we haven't set a date yet. I quit worrying about whether I have the vacation time long ago. Even when I worked at my job, if I wanted to take a trip I did. I've never let any employer enslave me. Not then, not now. if you operate under that philosophy, when you get older, you'll look back on missed opportunities that you can never regain. I watched my dad and mom go that route and then look back about things they should have done and didn't.. That will never happen to me. There are things I probably should have done differently but when it comes to my 'off duty' time, nothing stands in the way.
I told them at school when I took this teaching job that I'd take off for farming and biking and if they couldn't deal with that, I'd pass on the job.
If I sell just one Flipmeister Item, I can call it a 'business trip'. I should have my chin spoiler on line by then as well as the K&N filters and some other stuff.
