rocket or harley road king

I reckon here we could buy two Rockets for one Roadking **** near, pricewise. No contest really, buy one for wet weather and one for dry. :)

I have owned an Ultra Classic and Electra Glide. If I had all the money back I spent on those 2 bikes I could have bought a Rocket for every day of the week. Al

I rode a RK at a demo days last week.
It was a decent enough bike. I love how they look and the sound is awesome.

Like TC has said "Riding a Rocket III will ruin other bikes for you." or something along those lines.

Anyway the massive torque is like a drug. You'll get accustomed to it; then miss it when is isn't there.

I would like to thank the HD salesman that would not let me test drive an RK!! The triumph dealer insisted I take a test ride, and the rest is history!!!

That sounds familiar, it wasn't Quantico HD was it? It was them that said I should buy a Triumph becasue they are too poor at customer service to even want to have me as a customer and surely does not need me as one. They have too many young Marines to prey one who do not know any better.

I took my touring out in April last season, parked the truck, never took it until November, rode rain or shine. I use water about twice a year, I use dry-shine the rest of the time, and I keep it VERY clean, takes about 20 mins to do a quick shine, 30 if I get more in depth. The touring models are very quick to pop the windshield and saddlebags off to do it more in depth.

I had a friend looking at a bike a few years back. The guy was asking above Blue Book value on it, so my friend was trying to talk him down some. The guy said: "This bike is garage kept, and has never been ridden in the rain." So my friend asked: "So I'm supposed to pay more than the bike is worth, just because you're too big a pu$$y to ride in the rain?"
