The 1290 maneuvers just so much easier than the Rocket, it should make my commute a little more fun.

We have 3 triumph dealers and 2 ktm dealers near me and a couple years ago I was looking to trade my speed triple on another r3r, having traded my 06 r3 on a k1600 for my mrs, I was missing the shoulder wrenching pull of a r3, but all 3 dealers were sold out when the salesman tossed me the keys to their demo 2015 sdr, I ended up buying that bike and when I was totaled slamming the alphabet roads north of me I replaced it with another. This one lifts the front tire at 135 mph bone stock (not that I would know). Congrats
 
 
The decat will significantly cool the ride if you install the akra offroad map at the same time. You're riding a gen 2 so you might have to lose the o2 sensor also. There's a couple really good forums for you and the new bike.
