one of our club members has a busa which he has had up to 182mph(gps) I might be wrong but I doubt that the rocket even with a charger on it can do that speed.

I don't think a Rocket can touch 182 MPH no matter how much power it has unless someone does something with the gear ratios or builds a motor capable of handling, oh I'm guessing 8,000 RPMS ?

I wish we had a 6 speed trans or gears that were wider spaced. 1st gear seems too low at times, and well, 5th gear seems too low too. With so much torque available, a higher gear ratio would easily be doable.. Actually, I guess a higher rear end gear ratio would solve both problems..

A MODDED ROCKET with the STAGE1 package will runover 8000rpm and that is 212mph in 5th gear 8500rpm=226 mph and thats 245hp at the rear wheel

NO YOU dont need 6th gear when you mod a ROCKET the rev limit is raised and gives more top speed than you can use

IM giving you speeds at rpm with stock gearing compared to stock rpm actual top speeds with the modded rockets will be taking place in the near future but weve been beating the BUSAS no problem

Oregon one of the MOST CUDDLEY of states has no motorcycle inspection...

Dont be so sure....wind resistance is exponential. A car with a 50 hp motor will go 100 MPH but it takes over 500 HP to get to 200 MPH. The Drag co-efficient is much more of a factor with our Rockets than HP for top Speed....Rice rockets will always have a higher top speed due to less wind drag! Still fun to try!

Dam we better get Hombre back in here to settle this. Anyone remember his top speed before he gave up? Why does the Rocket get to have a blower and the Busa stock? Come on guys, apples and oranges. The Busa still holds the record for best aeros of any production bike. Even slightly better than the 14.

yes if your going after top speed THEN mount a fairing made for that purpose and HAVE a ball but I think the rocket guys will be happy beating street bikes not LSR bikes that are usless as road bikes EVEN the BUSA guys just run LIGHT to LIGHT and 1/4 mile the real test for street bikes
