do you guys think this will help or hinder value, when i go trade her in for a new roadster?

My neighbor told me he pre ordered his and got one of the first 200 I wondered how he could possibly know that. if I was you that would be a keeper and maybe make a copy to stick in the service manual.

the only hinder i can think of is nobody seems to want an early rocket, and this one is as early as they get

It might not be that early. Mine has a serial number approximately 1300 below that one, that was said to be the 12th R3 off the line.
Does anyone know what the serial number of the very first production Rocket was?

Makes no sense to me . . .
The last six of the 17 digit vin # are the sequential.
This one shows 208240. Even if it all started with 208000, this would be #240???

Upon further investigation, I have found this to be a bogus vin#.

Probably sequential for all their bikes, not just the RIIIs.

Mileage seems to be the decider on resale price .. my 2009 purchased Standard with 125,000 klms on it is worth jack sh!t , doubt I'd even find a Dealer that would trade it.

It couldn't hurt, veemax.

Best to disregard that grumpy oldman's commentary above.
