ROADSTER TEST in MC Consumer News

I'm 5' 10"...my 05 Rocket never felt comfortable to me until I installed floorboards, Rivco risers & Valkyrie handlebars.....

Whereas, my Roadster felt comfortable as is/stock.

I never liked the extreme feet forward position.

I have done 3 over 1,000 mi days on it & numerous over 800 mi days....

Even 800 mile 'twisty' days, as well as lane splitting in CA on Friday afternoon rush hour...

So for me, Triumph "fixed it" not "ruined it".

The foot controls were just right for me, nowhere near as forward as Harleys. I have problems with my hips and knees so I'm not into the mid controls. To make by R3 more comfortable, I put Ultra Classic bars on and a backrest.

Me too.

I actually picked my R3R over other choices (before I knew what it was) based on the position of the foot controls.

My previous bike was an '08 T100 Bonneville.

If I rode with my feet stuck forward like on the cruisers; what's left of my spine would come tumbling out of my arse!
