ROADSTER TEST in MC Consumer News

Isn't it a lot like the old Valkyries? They used to make a fairly attractive stripped down wing back in the day.

This is not a Wing, it's a Valkryie... I've had this bike in my past and loved it...

How did you like the Valk, and how does the R3 compare?

Here is my old girl, looks even more like a R3T

I really liked it..it was a good bike and to be honest I made a mistake by trading for a Harley Fatboy the Valk was a much better bike. How does the R3 compare to the Valk
Well I had the R3 and the Valk for about the same amount of time and never had a single problem with the Honda..where as the Rocket made me pull my hair out.
Don't get me wrong I loved my Rocket..the looks..the sound..the comfort and the performance and lets not forget it's biggest attractions it's size and character also for
me it's British..yeah I do miss it but couldn't live with it any longer..perhaps I should mention that these bikes were new not secondhand

We too owned a Valk. A 1999 Standard model. It was a terrific motorbike. The Beast has it in power, but the difference is not profound. The Beast also wins in handling, but the Valk has good road manners and is more comfy (for us, at least). The Valk is also smoother; the smoothest we have ever ridden. We also think the Valk is one of the most pleasing bikes to look at. No plans to part with the Beast or go back, but the Valk was/is a great bike.

We had a close look at F6B and like it except for all the plastic. It also seems massive, but comes off the side stand fairly effortlessly. Would like to test ride one.

Now, if our Honda Friends were to introduce a new Valk with the 1800cc motor, ABS, and a six speed overdrive tranny...

We trudge on.

I also really like the Valk, it was strong, but compliant in the corners and very, very smooth... Like a good bourbon... Sorry I gave her up.
