Guys, here's a minor mystery.

I've been offered a QR Roadsteer screen for my R3T for $350.00. the part number is A9708111. According to the internet, the list price is $449.00

On the MADSS site, the Roadster screen is being offered for $561.35, with a list price of $660.00. The part number is A9708113 - small difference, but a difference nonetheless.

Both are shown for the R3T.

Ok experts, what's the difference between these two screens? Any reason not to jump on the cheaper one?

Thanks for any help.

One is the original height of the screen the other is the taller screen (7" taller I believe) both come with the hardware. You can order just the taller screen and install it on the exisiting hardware ($200.00) or have a stealer do it or friend or yourself.:D

Mutt: That's a nice theory, but both state that they are 6" higher than the stock screen.

A9708111 description includes the following: "The screen adds an additional 152mm (6") of height for extra protection against the elements. "

A9708113 description states the following: "6 inches taller than stock screen"

So, anyone have any other ideas?

I'm pretty certain there are only 2 options offered by Triumph and neither are 6 inches taller. They are 7 inches taller. The Roadster Windscreen with hardware is around $500 or so and the Roadster Blade (screen without hardware) is $200. Not sure what the ones you refer to are.

152mm is actually 5.9843inches ..... but who cares? It's taller. :p lol

Anyone else that bored? It's look up conversions, or dig 18+ inches (457.2mm) of snow, with it still falling and blowing 30mph. This sucks ass.
The dip**** in the plow went up both sides of the street, leaving a 3 foot pile down the center and of course both sides. Even after I dig out the driveway I still have to dig out the center of the street just to back out of the drive. What was the dip**** thinking? I hate this place in the winter. Combine east coast "I don't give a ****" with snow and thats what happens. Based on Delaware reimbursement, the plow recieves over $225 just to do my street.... an 1/8th mile cul-de-sac. And the result is that no one can drive on it still. Our homes association will pay this guy over $5000 to make our streets unpassable. Discraceful.

Move South,
it ain't that bad here.
Yea, we got our share of idiots too, but the weathers better.:D
I'm from Oklahoma, Enid area. Your right about the idiots, but they were a little more considerate of others and alot further apart. ;)
There hasn't been a huge snow storm there I guess since I was a kid, I remember walking thru backyards without ever seeing a fence under the snow. That was along time ago.

We noticed the emergency heat light was glowing on the heat pump, went out back and the A/C compressor was only visible from the hole in the snow where the fan was blowing through.

Getting back to the windscreens, I understand the delima. I priced the taller Roadster windscreen at my local dealer. He gave me a price of $660. My family all kicked in and got the same screen (B-Day present) from another dealer for a whole lot less. I went back to my original dealer and said WTF? They could not give me an answer. The dealer couldn't figure it out.

Triumph screwed up somewhere it seems.

The message here is, do not order the $660 screen! :D
