RIVCO solo rear rack

Thanks again, Drag. I bought TuneBoy from NewR3 and their service, both before and after the purchase, was outstanding.

Actually the ebay seller is Performance Cycle in Oklahoma and although they seem to be very disorganized they also appear to be honest. But I've learned my lesson about trying to save a few bucks: doesn't always = best deal. Anyway if they don't reimburse me as they said they would I'll tell all about it, Paypal, ebay and R3owners alike.

I'm planning to go to our local R3 meeting tonite and will discuss further with TurboFan, TravelGuy and other attendees and show them the fitment problem. Who knows, maybe I have a defect in my fender or something. But my pillion seat attaches just fine whereas there was no way I could install even two, let alone all three, standard screws to attach the "rack" they sent me.

Jimmy - 2 pictures to show the fixing bolts with the seat removed, and how close it follows the fender. Excuse all the dirt - haven't cleaned it since yesterdays ride.

jimmy,

You should have receved three new bolts approx 1/4 inch longer and three fiber washers one about 2mm and the other two about 5mm, I lost my set and went down to homedepot and picked up a new set. the washers hold the rack off the fender, the two outer holes are the thicker washers.

AHA!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the pics, Owl. Greatly appreciated!!

Bingo, Multibob. I never received any such hardware.

I can see what looks like some sort of black disc in your profile pic of the rack, Owl.

Ok, well it appears they sent me an open box item and, bless their hearts, they forgot to enclose the mounting hardware. And I, in my blissful ignorance, didn't even know to ask about the hardware they forgot to send. Thank you all for helping me out with this by providing the "missing piece" of my puzzle. Kudos to you. To eternity and beyond, Captains!!!!!!

By the way, the ebay seller who sold me rack it did not even stock also has a store in Bethany, OK. The name is Performance Cycle. I would never buy anything from them again and would caution my fellow Captains to think twice before buying from them.
