Replacing TPS

Is there no other way to adjust the TPS position correctly without tuneECU software and cable?

There is but it's a lot harder n the TuneEcu will do soooo many things for you that it's a no brainer. Get that downloaded n the cable from lonelec.com. You'll be glad you did. Reset/adjust the iscv, balance throttle bodies, correct the speedo, adjust fan temp setting, rpm max, ect, ect

things that u can do
wd 40 all linkages, pull back the rubber and spray the stepper motor. mine has acted up several times and cleaning and also quick revs u might even work the throttle while not running taking it open and let it lose on return.
the tps can be checked with a volt meter but u have to pierce the wires or probe the connector if u have never done this i would not start now. like said the tunecu works great and i consider it a must have. i think it works better with the old lap tops some use it with there phones.

THANK YOU!! I'm gonna take all your recommendations and post pics of my epic fall ride for you!!

u might list your mc year, model below your avatar.
if Thats it in his avatar it looks like a 05 standard Jet Black possibly TORS lack. When he gets the cable and tune ecu I would check everything out to include does it have the updated tune in it. There was a reflash done by Triumph in 06 to all rockets to fix a idling problem. Although I would still clean the linkage check the low tension leads on the coils and do a full ISCV reset before deciding he needs another TPS.

I like the Android app on my Samsung tablet. Haven't used Windows version but may say the android app is much much easier to load n easier to use. Must be why I like it, Ima computer idiot.
But Android is $12 - Windows is free

Yup. '05 standard. Haven't done the idle update. Just ordered the tuneECU cable and downloaded the software. Now I'm going to break out the tools and WD-40. Thanks again.

Herman,
I thought the andriod cell phone hook-up did not allow changes or saving???
Am I wrong again?
