I'm ready for more power. 2006 black engine stock except for cat delete. I don't want to use triple K&N so I think I'll either keep the stock air box (snorkel removed years ago) or make my own dry pleated paper/gauze element ram air under the Bear Claw.

Thinking of these set ups.

1) TORs, Power Commander 3 or 5. Dyno tuned. DynoJet tuner wants $250 to tune it.
2) TORs, Tune ECU do it myself.

Looking for a dry alternative air filter system. Please tell me how your simular set ups worked out. Opinions and real data welcome.

Staintunes for sound and freer flow. Great if you have intake mods to match.
TORs are a good, cost effective option with good sound, albeit with a bit of a bark, strong torque and moderate power increase.
Jardines for noise (ie they're raucous) and power gain (with the right tune). Quality control issues - as documented on here by others so don't shoot me - and poor fit - also documented and I've seen it.
Preds/Carpenter for outright performance but probably a bit of a waste without other intake and engine mods. Personally, I'm not a fan of the swept back look.
Ponters headers (Reband) probably in the same category as Preds and Carp but look soooo much better.
Perfect Storms - Gothlander has them and I want 'em.

How much money you got?
