Made it home in one piece at 1330 , thanks for your company and making good memories friends
So the worries didn't eventuate at all? Nice to meet you and share snoring sonatas.;):roll:

As you warned the roadworks and traffic snarls on the freeway were horrible. Got 300km out of 22litre refill though. I got to my mates about 6.00PM Qld time after 6 hours and a couple of 20km + at walking speed and up to 40kph on the freeway into Brisbane.

Unfortunately about an hour after I arrived he got word that his Mum and her husband were in a single vehicle rollover and her husband was dead and 80 year old Mum in intensive care - she arrived conscious and not seriously injured apparently but he obviously went to the hospital last night. The 80year old husband had a medical event that appeared to cause the crash. This week may be filled with grief rather than laughter but glad I'm here to help out if I can as my mate's wife is working at a remote offsite and may not be able to get back immediately.

Keep riding safe everyone.

"Guess I had better bring more next time as I was surprised by All those that partook of my two different little drops seemed to really enjoy it, I have to Thank my Outlaw Mate in the States for sharing his formula to making the apple pie."

@HansO...if you like the apple pie wait till you try some peach. Someday I will make sure you do!

I'm glad your there for him mate. Statistically we all brush with disaster and often we are lucky that it is at arms length, but sometimes our mortality gives us a bit of a reminding shove.

Well found and well met my friend. I enjoyed our conversations and the fact that neither of us snore was a well kept secret that could have drawn the ire of those less fortunate ......Again .... congratulations .... see you up the road a bit.

Sure sounds as though all you Mates had a great time at your RDU. Staying at a motel here in Moab Utah for the night. Tomorrow Dan and I will find a place to safely park the van and trailer and then ride out for Leakey Texas and another bunch of fine Rocketeers!
