Hi all,

So with all the love I’m giving my rocket at the moment with the clutch, wheels and whatnot I was reading up about the Ramair helping with backfiring on the overrun and bought one.

1. Does it help?? My exhaust is almost straight through and backfires a lot. There is no cat either.

2. Any suggestion on which tune appreciated.

3. is it easy to fit? Do you have to cut bearclaw?

thanks

I just put one on my 06 classic and it time all the decel pop out of it and quicker throttle response I still have the cat with tors read my thread ramair

The Ramair kit won’t help with anything unless it’s tuned properly.

It IS a great kit in my opinion and cleans up under the tank nicely.

The kit is very easy to install. Patients, and an hour and your done. And it neatly fits behind the claw.

The BEST mod I’ve ever done to any of my bikes is getting a good tune! Runs great, gets great economy on the freeway and more power everywhere!

Your profile says you have a 2013 R3R.
Not sure what you mean by straight through exhaust. Stock headers plus gutted cans?

These 2 might be what you are looking for.

2011 R3R TORS RAMAIR

2009-2013 Roadster Tune

that would be because I have

straight through means exactly that, 3 into 1, no cat as it is not TORS, on a clear day you can see the pistons ( I’m joking before you take that literally)

Well the first map is for stock header with Tors, the second is for CES pipe.

And I had to look at your profile because you failed to mention the model and year of R3 you needed the map for

I didn’t mention it as it’s in my profile this could go on forever

the second is the one I’m looking at but am not sure, hence the question, thanks for the reply

I'd try both and see which one runs best with your setup.
